We are pleased to be able to give you access to our referral forms through our website, though of course we can also deliver them to you if you contact us directly. All referrals should be returned to us by email.

AT WHAT POINT WILL YOU INVOLVE PSiC:

  • You will normally have completed your assessment, care plan, and (for those of you working with adults) a financial assessment, before you refer to us.

  • You will have established that the service user wants a Direct Payment, or at least wants more information about Direct Payments.

  • There will be occasions where service users would like a preliminary chat before any formal referral and we are more than happy to do that.

  • Once we receive your referral, we will check it, get back to you if there are any queries, and the referral will be allocated to a team member.

  • We aim to contact the service user within 5 working days, and see them as swiftly as possible after that.

  • We meet clients at our offices, but are also available to do home visits.

  • Once we have activated the referral, we establish how the service user wishes to receive and use the Direct Payment, fill in all the necessary paperwork for Camden Council, and hand the start-up paper work to the Direct Payments team.

As long as you have completed the necessary tasks at your end the Direct Payment can now start.

We remain available to the service user for all ongoing issues.

You can find a full list of the support tasks we carry out with the service user elsewhere on this website-in essence we support them with every aspect of setting up a Direct Payment, and provide on-going support, but do not provided day to day involvement in the working of the care package.

We will refer back to your team if any concerns arise about the safety, wellbeing or general ability to manage of the service user.

We are a phone call/email away for any queries you might have about how Direct Payments work, the rules and regulations, the options a service user might have and any general queries.
